Sweet Memories

"Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose."  ~From the television show The Wonder Years

This page is dedicated to the memories Project Sweet Peas has made in so many families lives.

Hi Julie,
WOW!!!  What an incredible gift bag you sent.  I was a bit overwhelmed with so many wonderful, useful things in it.  Please accept my sincerest thanks and pass on my thanks to Stephanie as well.  (I have just returned to Cincinnati as of last night and could not believe all of the neat things inside) Will keep you posted on his progress and again THANK YOU for the wonderful gift bag.

“My first child, Sierra, spent 5 months in the NICU at Children's hospital Pgh. You were there for us during that difficult time. She is doing great now and at home, thriving! Thank you for your support!”

"Thank you so much for the gift package, you couldnt have done things anymore perfect for my two girls. We highly appreciate it, and the pillow and bunny go great in their beds at the hospital. Again thank you very much"

"I received the gift bags that you sent yesterday afternoon. Thank you sooo much.  My husband and I were amazed at how nice they were and we look forward to when the twins will be able to wear their items. We truly appreciate your thoughtfulness and compassion for those dealing with having their babies in the NICU.”

"I just wanted to say thank you for the time and effort you spent getting the gift bags together. I am a nurse in the NICU at Childrens Hospital of Alabama and I was so excited the night I found the gift bags, I was like a kid in a candy store. Both of my babies that night got a gift bag. I made their hand and foot prints with the kit and dressed them in their new outfits and they had beautiful beds with their new blankets. Thank you for your time and generosity."

"Megan,

Thank you so much for your gifts. We are so sorry to here for your loss, but I truly believe you are keeping little MJ's Spirit alive through this project. Our daughter Riley was born at almost 31 weeks and for the most part we have had a bunch of really "good" days. She truly is the most precious thing in our life and there is nothing we would not do for her as I am sure was the case through your difficult times. I have know doubt your little boys spirit was here yesterday with us. I say this because yesterday was not a "good" day, Riley hit a rough patch which included fluid pressing on her young lungs hampering her ability to breathe. To say we were down is an understatement, but then your "bundle of joy" came through the door. You and MJ truly lifted our spirits and I am proud to say that today Riley is feeling much better as are we. Thank you so much it means the world to us."

"Dear Christy,
As a result of the birth of our son, I'm constantly reminded of how many good and caring people there are in the world. Thank You for showing our family care during a very exciting but sometimes uneasy time. We spent some time reading your story on the internet. Like Steve and Amy you are giving back in some very special ways! I pray that you would be blessed because of your generosity and that God's grace would surround your family!"

"God Bless you Kate and Project Sweet Pea for making a difficult time just a little bit easier to manage!"

"I just wanted to thank you for the incredible bag of goodies! Having a daughter born at 30 weeks was not in our plans! It can be the most stressful, scary, and still be a time full of blessings. My husband and I continue to be amazed at the amount of people that we know and do not know that have prayed and offered support to us. The bag you sent was just another reminder of how many people care...it brings tears to my eyes just to write this because I am just so thankful!"

"I work at Magee-Women's Hospital NICU.  I saw some of the name tags you made for Project Sweet Peas.  I used them for some of the babies there.  All the parents were very grateful.  Thank You!  I looked up Project Sweet Peas when I got home because I never heard of it.  It is wonderful what you do in memory of your little girl!  Please come in and visit sometime."
